The DNR has announced some changes for the 2022 hunting season.
Starting with the open water waterfowl season.
Hunters can now hunt in the open waters of the Great Lakes, Green Bay, and Big Green Lake as long as they are a minimum of 500 feet from shore.
In addition, those who participate in the annual squirrel hunt will have four more weeks to harvest their harvest.
The season will close on February 28.the unlike the last day of January as is tradition.
The 2022 Combined Hunting Regulations brochure is now available on the DNR website and will soon be available at authorized agents and open service centers throughout the state.
