Grouse and partridge hunting seasons in North Dakota will begin on September 10.
The shooting schedule is from half an hour before sunrise to sunset. Sharptails, Rufous Rufous, and Partridge each have a daily limit of three and a possession limit of 12.
All hunters, regardless of age, must have a general hunting and habitat license. In addition, hunters over the age of 16 need a small game license.

Hunters are urged to stay up to date with the daily Rural Fire Danger Index, issued by the National Weather Service, to alert the public to conditions that may lead to the accidental start or spread of fires. County governments also have the authority to adopt penalties for violations of county restrictions related to burn bans. These restrictions apply regardless of daily fire danger rating and remain in effect until each county commission rescinds the ban.
