Leupold announces the return of “Project Hunt”

Leupold & Stevens, Inc. has announced the return of the Project Hunt contest, offering hunters across the United States the opportunity to film an upcoming hunt and share it on Leupold’s digital media platforms.

It’s your etiquette, your hunt and your story. Leupold’s Project Hunt, presented by GoHunt, offers contest entrants the opportunity to star in a Leupold digital series. You plan the hunt; you make the decisions. Leupold will provide a cameraman to capture the story. Leupold will produce a short film or limited series about his hunt and release it digitally in 2023.

Hunts must take place before March 1, 2023 to be considered. In addition to the videographer provided, selected entrants will also receive a Leupold optician prize package and an annual GoHunt Insider membership.

“Last year we launched our first ‘Project Hunt’ contest and it was a huge success,” said Bruce Pettet, Chairman and CEO of Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “This year we’re back and looking for another incredible story to tell. No one is more ruthless than members of the Leupold Core, and we ask you to help us prove it. Whether you’re going on the hunt of a lifetime or hunting close to home with your family, it’s time to tell your story.”

In 2021, Leupold chose two winners from the Project Hunt contest. The stories of Jesse Shiner and Matt Hicks will be developed in the next short films that will be released in 2022.

“I’ve been investing 23 years for a bighorn sheep tag in Arizona… I couldn’t believe when I was lured in,” Hicks said. “It was an amazing experience, just a real trip of a lifetime. Leupold sponsored this, they really went above and beyond, what a great company. They provided me with tons of gear, the scope I used, binoculars, telescope, tripod, everything they provided we used. I couldn’t thank those guys enough.”

The deadline to enter is June 18, 2022. Entries must be submitted at Leupold.com/ProjectHunt. A two-minute video is required explaining why your submission should be selected for entry, and a full list of contest rules can be found at Leupold.com/ProjectHunt-Official-Rules.
