Peshtigo shooting range extends its hours with the help of volunteers

PESHTIGO, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced extended hours at the Peshtigo Shooting Range in Marinette County.

Due to increased volunteer hours, the shooting range will now be open four days a week, with longer hours on Sundays. Previously, the field was only open two days a week.

The new hours are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 13:00 – sunset
  • Sunday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Saturday: Closed

“The facility is here for the community, and the dedication of our volunteers is emblematic of that,” said Bob Nack, supervisor of the DNR Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation Team. “The goal of the DNR is to provide safe and pleasant experiences for users and residents of the facilities.”

Visitors should note that shooting hours may change in the winter due to weather. If the door is closed, the stove is not open.
