Set the Hornady Lock-N-Load AP (auto-progressive) system and calibrate for the shooter’s specific load, then start filling ammo cans quickly and reliably. This 5 station auto-indexing progressive press features Hornady’s patented Lock-N-Load bushing system. Dies lock into place with a twist, secured by six locking lugs. To change gauges, turn the socket counter-clockwise, remove it and insert the next default Lock-N-Load socket and bushing. Because they stay seated in your Lock-N-Load bushings, the dies stay exactly as they are seated, in perfect, solid alignment.
Pull once and the shell plate delivers five boxes up to their respective position in the process. The auto-indexing feature moves the plate half stage on the down stroke and half on the up stroke, making for ultra-smooth operation compared to other vises that do all of their indexing on the down stroke. Each pull of the handle provides precise measurements of powder, bullet seating, priming, and ejection, resulting in a perfectly loaded cartridge.
Experienced reloaders will notice the difference the first time they use the Hornady Lock-N-Load Access Point. The unit’s Power-Pac linkage system multiplies and speeds up leverage, giving reloaders more power with less effort, allowing you to reload smoothly and without arm fatigue.
The 29-pound unit mounts quickly and securely to a favorite level bench with two 5/16-inch bolts. All reloaders need to get started are dies and shell plates. Quick change bushing system allows for easy transitions. Go Load .223 Rem. to .45s in less than five minutes. One case-activated powder drop dispenses a metered powder charge only when a cartridge case is present. The Lock-N-Load powder measure uses quick-change measuring inserts that allow reloaders to switch from one powder to another with the push of a button. Add one to each die set for the ultimate in quick changes. Switching from large to small feeders is just as easy. Replace the priming seat punch, priming shuttle, and feed tube.
Finished cartridges are reliably ejected with each hit through the EZject™ system. If reloaders need to remove, replace, or insert a cage from the plate at any time, the spring-loaded cage retainer provides quick and easy access at any point in the process.
