Congressional Athlete Foundation and Delta Waterfowl Sign Memorandum of Understanding at NASC’s 19th Annual Summit of Legislators and Athletes

Last week at the NASC Legislators and Athletes Summit in Bozeman, Montana, the Congressional Athletes Foundation (CSF) and Delta Waterfowl (Delta) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). CSF, the leading advocate for athletes in the political arena, and Delta, the Duck Hunters Organization, are pleased to announce the completion of an already successful partnership. Through input into this MOU, CSF and Delta will be able to create synergy and collaboration at the state, regional and national levels between two of America’s leading sports conservation organizations.

“In 2022, CSF and Delta were able to achieve several legislative goals together,” said CSF President and CEO Jeff Crane. “From the historic expansion of Sunday hunting opportunities in Virginia to the passage of legislation in Kansas that created lifetime youth licenses, the work between our two organizations is already paying off for America’s 55 million athletes. By formally establishing our association, we can more effectively encourage collaboration, bipartisanship and opportunity for athletes today and for generations to come.”

Representing an opportunity to combine the power of CSF’s policy leadership with Delta’s mission and membership, this partnership will bring together Delta government affairs staff with the CSF team to facilitate collaboration and communication. This working relationship will allow Delta to connect with the caucuses that CSF works closely with while also giving CSF the opportunity to connect and interact with Delta members and volunteers in support of the organizations’ shared missions.

“Delta and CSF have worked together on shared political priorities for years,” John Devney, Delta Waterfowl Policy Director explained. “This MOU is a formalization of that already impressive partnership and will continue to ensure beneficial results for ducks, duck habitat and duck hunters well into the future.”
