Team Winchester members Anthony Matarese Jr. and Joe Fanizzi once again demonstrated why they are two of the best sport shooters in the world. Matarese Jr. and Fanizzi recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates for the first inaugural Fujairah Hill Climb Championships. This event offered one of the largest prize pools in shooting sports with over $200,000 in bonus money paid out to the best shooters.
More than 400 of the best clay sports competitors from 44 different countries came together to compete while also having to battle harsh desert conditions and steep mountainous terrain. When the dust settled, Matarese took second place while Fanizzi took home the Junior championship and third place overall.
“Anthony and Joe have represented Team Winchester and the USA on the world stage of shooting sports, proving that they are two of the best,” said Matt Campbell, Winchester’s vice president of sales and marketing. “It is exciting to see new events like this and to understand the importance of shooting sports in different countries.”

About caring for gun owners
Gun owners care. You worry about safety. You care about preventing unauthorized access to firearms. You care about improving your community, helping those in need, and conserving wildlife and wild places for generations to come. It’s time for gun owners to tell their stories and show how they’re making a difference. NSSF®, the trade association for the firearms industry, has established the Gun Owners Care campaign to unite gun owners and the firearms industry in this common cause.
