EDGEFIELD, SC — Kicking off the year-long NWTF 50th anniversary celebration, the outdoor community descended on Nashville, Tennessee and set numerous records for the NWTF annual convention and sports extravaganza. , including the all-time record of 67,368 sports event attendees.
“The energy at our 50th anniversary celebration was truly like we brought together 50 years of passion for our favorite game bird in the course of just a few days,” said NWTF Co-Executive Director Jason Burckhalter. “From the sports show floor to the conservation conference, our guests celebrated our beloved outdoor lifestyle and were brimming with excitement for the upcoming spring season. We are endlessly grateful to all of our volunteers, partners, staff, and attendees who made it possible. Together, we have set the tone for our golden anniversary year – this is just the beginning!”
In addition to record attendance at sports events, the NWTF 50th Anniversary Celebration in Nashville saw other records broken, including 512 exhibitors setting up booths on the show floor, 2,000 attending the Grand Auction NWTF National and numerous events where a record was posted. -break the fundraiser.

State and local NWTF chapters will host their own 50th anniversary events, both for outreach and fundraising, that will catapult NWTF’s mission delivery to unprecedented heights.
