It is constructed of heavy-duty 16-gauge steel for the body and thicker 8-gauge for the door. Fire retardant capabilities are best in class, capable of withstanding fires reaching temperatures of 1400°F for 30 minutes.
Four 1-inch diameter locking tabs securely secure the contents of the safe. Content can be accessed via a programmable touch keyboard with illuminated keys. An LED warning light will indicate when the keyboard’s battery is running low. If the keypad fails, a discreet lock provides additional access to the safe. Once open, a light on the door illuminates the safe’s contents in low light conditions.
The Hornady Fireproof Keypad Safe takes the protection of your belongings one step further. The protective mat covers the pull-out shelf and the interior of the safe to prevent scratches and unwanted damage. Plus, a powder-coated finish protects the safe’s steel for added durability. The last line of security includes a set of concrete anchors to secure the safe. The Hornady Fireproof Keypad Safe is ideal for easy and safe storage of firearms, even in the event of a fire.
