Al’s Goldfish Lure Company Continues to Support Outdoor NewsJunior Pro Team (JPT)

For the past three years, Al’s Goldfish Lure Company has been a proud supporter of the Outdoor News Junior Pro Team. Every week in the month of May, young anglers who are part of the Outdoor News JPT have a chance to win a spectacular prize package containing over $200 worth of fishing gear with tackle box and giveaways from Al’s. To enter the contest, eligible contestants must submit a fishing video or photo through Outdoor News outlets. For more information, visit https://jrproteam.com/contest/weekly/.

The Outdoor News JPT program is open to youth under the age of 18 who enjoy the outdoors and have a strong social media platform and website to celebrate their hunting and fishing experiences. Membership is free and JPT members enjoy access to career advice to help build their expertise, photo and video sharing, and opportunities to receive special industry discounts and enter contests throughout the year.

“It’s important to us at Al’s to support and nurture the next generation of anglers,” said Mandy DeBuigne, co-owner of the company. “We hope that our support in this program will help these young people to enjoy the sport of fishing for many years to come.”

Al’s Goldfish Lure Company has been around since 1952, but has expanded globally under the ownership of Jeff and Amanda DeBuigne, who purchased the company in 2018. With 100% American-made products, the company’s selection of available lures caters to anglers of panfish, trout, salmon, bass, walleye, pike or musky, with baits for use when casting, trolling or jigging. Al’s lures are made of solid marine brass, are jeweler-plated, and are hand-painted.

About Al’s Goldfish Lure Company
The company launched in 1952 with a single pioneering spoon lure, known as Stuart’s Goldfish, named after founder Al Stuart. The company’s flagship lure was renamed Al’s Goldfish in 1954, and by 1973 the popularity of the Goldfish lure skyrocketed to nearly a million lures sold in a year. Along the way, other popular lures, such as the Forty-Niner and Helgy, and hook-bonnet lure accessories were added to the company’s list of American-made products. In 2015 the line was expanded to include the Saltwater Goldfish series. In 2022, current owners Jeff and Mandy DeBuigne celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Goldfish lure.
