Join as Smith & Wesson® An Ambassador towards the end of 2022, Travis Kennedy brings a wealth of character, firearms knowledge and experience to the team. Travis enlisted in the Navy in 2006 with the goal of becoming a Navy SEAL and after graduating from SEAL training, he completed the Special Operations Combat Medic course. He was stationed with SEAL Team Four, where he completed two successful combat deployments and, later, became a Basic Underwater Demolition/Seal (BUD/s) instructor, where he was able to develop and mentor future SEALs.
Soon after, Travis led an Urban Combat Special Operations training division where he focused on urban combat tactics, combat shooting, and professional development. In 2019, he made the decision to give back and started Kennedy Defensive Solutions. Travis now applies his 11 years of experience as a United States Navy SEAL to educate and train people in defensive shooting tactics and instill the “Thinking Shooter” mentality. “Being sponsored by Smith & Wesson is a great privilege and an opportunity to embody firearms excellence. Chad is a former Force Recon Marine, Department of Defense contractor, and professional MMA champion. In addition to Chad’s military service in eight deployments, he has served our nation as a special agent with the US Federal Air Marshal Service, was Senior Manager of the Surveillance Detection Program for the US Department of State, and was the Senior Manager of the Surveillance Detection Program for the US Department of State. UU. and received a Medal of Valor.
Chad founded the Mighty Oaks Foundation, a leading nonprofit serving the active duty, veteran, and first responder communities around the world, and is considered a subject matter expert in faith-based solutions for PTSD. , including serving as chair of a White House Veterans Coalition. Chad was also a co-founder of Save Our Allies and led a historic effort to rescue his former interpreter and 17,000 others from Afghanistan during the withdrawal.
