WOMEN’S OUTDOOR MEDIA ASSOCIATION DONATES $5K TO FALLEN BLUE

Supporting the families of fallen officers

The Women’s Outdoor Media Association (WOMA), known for encouraging women in outdoor sports endeavors in shooting, archery, fishing and hunting, recently presented Fallen Blue with a $5,000 donation. Fallen Blue is a nonprofit organization that supports the families of fallen officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect their communities across the United States.

According to WOMA founder Deb Ferns, “Through our annual charity event, She Never Quit, we raise funds to strengthen organizations that support our military, our veterans, and our first responders. Many fallen heroes are the breadwinners for their families, and often loved ones struggle with finances after their loss.”

Fallen Blue allows those left behind to grieve without worrying about finances, Ferns said. “The importance of the Fallen Blue mission touched our hearts and we wanted to do something to honor those who gave it their all. We are proud to support Fallen Blue and his mission. A special thank you to the folks at Staccato for allowing our Board of Directors to present retired United States Army Major General Mark O’Neil our $5,000 contribution to Fallen Blue at his booth during SHOT Show 2023.”

“After the loss of a law enforcement professional in the line of duty, their families are understandably devastated,” said General O’Neil. ”With so few facilities providing resources, Fallen Blue is a beacon for bereaved families. It means a lot that WOMA recognizes the cost that police and their families pay to protect our neighborhoods, families and communities. We are very grateful for your generous donation to Fallen Blue and hope to show this momentum for similar programs to fallenblueheroes.org and thewoma.org,” added O’Neil.
