Tagua Gunleather Selects Chevalier Advertising

Miami Florida – Tagua Gunleather, maker of fine leather, eco-leather, hybrid and kydex gun holsters announces its selection of Chevalier Advertising as agency of record. This partnership combines Chevalier Advertising’s decades of experience in branding, marketing and outdoor advertising with Tagua’s passion for affordable quality products.

Chevalier Advertising will help Tagua with public relations, media strategy, as well as e-commerce and email marketing as Tagua Gunleather increases its presence in the US market.

Leather cases have long been recognized as one of the most comfortable ways to carry, but in the modern age of domestic and international markets, they have a hard time. Local artisans can make excellent covers, but not on the scale or at the pace that the nation demands, resulting in higher prices. Factories produce many products, but without the soul and character that leather can provide.

Tagua Gunleather was founded as a collective of leather workers to meet consumer needs for something between the local craftsman and the soulless factory. Old world craftsmanship by true leather lovers is what sets Tagua apart from the rest.

About Tagua Gunleather: Tagua Gunleather meticulously constructs modern concealment and classic carry holsters using leather, eco-leather, and advanced modern polymers. Tagua Gunleather is best known as a bastion of handmade leathercraft in an era dominated by machine-made mass production. Leather is selected from hardened, field-raised cattle to create stronger covers, each with a unique character. Instead of computer programming, Tagua Gunleather uses skilled craftsmen to craft its sheath with a sense of leather that no machine can replicate. Pride of craftsmanship in every case.

Precision defined! The new CZ-USA 600 rifle scope gives precision shooters all the advantages

The CZ 600 range is part of the exciting new 600 series family of rifles. Built from the ground up, the Range integrates features born from the competition into its design for maximum accuracy. So how do you shoot? CZ-USA backs the range with an unprecedented 5 shot sub ¾ MOA guarantee! It’s a production rifle that sets the new gold standard for accuracy and is taking the competition world by storm!

Rifle accuracy starts with an excellent barrel, and the 600 Range features the best; a heavy cold hammer forged barrel, threaded and suppressor ready. At 24 inches long, the blued-steel barrel squeezes the top velocities out of the inherently accurate 6mm Creedmoor and .308 Winchester cartridges.

Shooters will love the rifle’s smooth, fast-handling 60-degree bolt pull, a design that increases bolt-to-optic clearance and cycles considerably faster than traditional designs. The range features an oversized alloy bolt knob for better control in all conditions. The steel receiver adds weight, rigidity, and longevity to the action, which are important attributes for a competition rifle. A detachable magazine allows for quick reloads and a selectable lock feature ensures magazine retention. Magazine reloads, via the ejection port, add convenience.

The butthook-style stock comes equipped with QD sockets on each side, a pic rail for monopod mounting (competition-inspired features for better aiming), and a tool-free adjustable cheek piece that encourages a perfect cheek weld. Laminate wood is an excellent choice over stock materials, as it provides rigidity and excellent resistance to moisture. Range’s laminate stock features a stylish black and brown layered pattern that looks as good as it performs.

Reliability was a vital consideration in the design of the 600 Series rifle. CZ 600 rifles, including the Range, use an extractor-controlled short advance for their unerring round-cycle consistency. A patented 2-position tang safety is intuitive, allowing the bolt to be cycled with the safety engaged.

CZ-USA currently stocks the 600 range in the popular 6mm Creedmoor and .308 Winchester cartridges, with other offerings in the works. The range is the pinnacle of precision and is built on CZ’s standards of high reliability, durability and versatility. The 600 Range rifle offers precision shooters all the advantages!

CMP to Introduce Four $20,000 Scholarships, Other Notable Updates for 2023

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is pleased to announce four new scholarships named after distinguished members of its Board of Directors. These $20,000 scholarships, awarded over four years at $5,000 each year, are named after:

  • Judith Legerski, Former Chairman of the Board and CEO
  • Major General Harry Sieben, Former Board Member and Vice President
  • Jon Bengtson, former board member and treasurer
  • Dr. Carolyn Hines, Former Board Member and Founder of the CMP Scholarship Program

“CMP has long focused on youth programs and giving back to the community. These new scholarships allow us to support America’s best youth while recognizing the people who championed youth programs while guiding CMP’s success,” said Jerry O’Keefe, new board chair and CEO of CMP. Official.

In addition to the new $20,000 scholarships, other changes include:

  • A new online application process
  • Scholarships for trade and technical schools.
  • No minimum grade point average (GPA) to apply

Each year, high school student-athletes participating in marksmanship programs are encouraged to apply for the CMP Scholarships, a program that provides financial support to young shooters and women who have demonstrated excellence on and off the line of fire.

Traditionally, these scholarships have been used to pursue post-secondary or vocational programs, community colleges, or university education. However, in 2023, the CMP will further expand its scholarship program by engaging trade and technical schools to keep up with national trends and provide opportunities for athletes with a variety of interests.

“Our scholarships are available to all graduating high school seniors with outstanding marksmanship, academics, and community service records. By removing a minimum GPA, we are including late developers who may have gotten off to a slow start in one area, but have shown great potential late in their high school career,” said Dan Durben, former Team National Rifle and US Rifle Olympic Team Coach and Chairman of the CMP Scholarship Committee.

Since 2005, the CMP Scholarship Program has awarded $1,000 one-year scholarships to high school seniors based on merit, humanitarian efforts, extracurricular activities, and participation in marksmanship. In 2020, the CMP added a $5,000 scholarship, the Carolyn Hines Memorial Scholarship, awarded to the top applicant who best represented the values of Dr. Hines, who was instrumental in shaping the program.

This year, CMP will continue to award $1,000, $3,000 and $5,000 scholarships to more than 90 rising high school students. Applicants will compete based on their rifle, pistol, and/or shotgun competition record, academic excellence, community service, leadership, and potential.

As noted, the CMP no longer requires a minimum GPA, although academic performance remains a key component of the selection criteria. Additionally, the new automated application replaces paper forms and mailing documents with an online application and the ability to upload documents.

CMP will award a total of $200,000 for the 2023-2024 school year. In addition, the Garand Collectors Association has generously donated $30,000 in association with the CMP in recognition of our nation’s best young shooters.

The deadline to apply for a CMP Scholarship will be March 31, 2023. A link to the online application portal and other scholarship information can be found by visiting https://thecmp.org/youth/cmp-scholarship-program/.
