Savage Arms announces that Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage Arm, has joined the Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors Board of Directors. This non-profit organization encourages the next generation to become more involved in outdoor activities by connecting caring and knowledgeable mentors with children interested in traditional outdoor sports. As a member of the Board of Directors, Shimanski plans to support Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors as they grow across the country and help them make an impact in the industry by combining the Outdoor Mentors mission with Savage Arms products and platform.
“We are delighted to have Beth join our Board of Directors. This group has done an excellent job leading our mission for the past 21 years and Beth is a great asset to the team,” said Brittany French, Executive Director of Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors. “Under Beth’s leadership, our partnership with Savage Arms has allowed us to grow our mission and provide continued outdoor opportunities through mentorship for the youth of our community. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and continue our great work at Outdoor Mentors!”
Shimanski comes to the Outdoor Mentors board with personal outdoor experience and industry knowledge that he has accumulated during his tenure at Savage Arms. Shimanski grew up in Minnesota very active in sports and spending time outdoors, whether it was hiking, camping or fishing, and she still enjoys those passions today. Shimanski’s experience grew even further when she began hunting thanks to her position at Savage.
Fast forward several years, Shimanski has spent significant time in the field hunting and shooting, and her travels have taken her to multiple locations in the US and abroad. Shimanski looks forward to sharing all the ways Savage Arms can help Outdoor Mentors make an impact in this industry.
“We were introduced to Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors over 5 years ago and from day one I have been impressed with not only the vision of this organization, but also the people who are leading the way,” said Beth Shimanski, Savage Arms Marketing Director. “I am honored to be asked to be a part of the growth and future direction of this group.”
