CMP adds Action Pistol to the list of matches sanctioned by clubs

If you’re part of a CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) affiliated club, you can now sanction action pistol matches at your shooting range!

CMP affiliated clubs have the opportunity to host their own local CMP sanctioned matches throughout the year. CMP Match Sanctioning is available for Three Position Air Rifle, Excellence-In-Competition (EIC), Non-EIC, CMP Match Pistol, and CMP Games Rifle and Pistol events, along with Smallbore, Mid-Range, and Long Range competitions.

Action Pistol is one of the latest CMP programs, offering events that combine precision and movement. With such high-profile Action Pistol matches like the long-running Bianchi Cup in Missouri now facilitated by the CMP, the organization strives to include more opportunities for the discipline across the country.

Those wishing to sanction a CMP Action Pistol match must first complete a request form for CMP Sanctioned Matches and Clinics, found at https://thecmp.org/competitions/forms/. Party directors must also submit a copy of the party program along with the application.
