Dan Wesson DWX Compact Pistol – SHIPS NOW

The DWX Compact pistol inherits the best features of two emblematic pistols, the CZ 75 and the Dan Wesson 1911, pistols synonymous with quality, durability and performance. The DWX Compact incorporates the same premium features as the full-size DWX, but in a smaller, more concealable package. Its lightweight aluminum frame and shorter body make it ideal for everyday transport, while its design offers improved ergonomics.

The DWX starts with the sharp single-action fire control group of a Dan Wesson 1911 and combines it with the ergonomics and capability of a CZ pistol. A flat K-style trigger with a textured face offers positive contact, a feel familiar to 1911 shooters, while its grip angle and contour draw its lineage directly to the proven CZ 75 known for its comfort and control.

The DWX Compact uses the Ned Christiansen-style fragmentation pattern on the front, rear strap, and Henning aluminum grips for a comfortable shooting experience that provides traction. The low profile grip design naturally places the shooter’s hand high on the beavertail for optimal recoil control. The compatibility of the CZ 75 Compact grip with the DWX allows for customization with aftermarket options.

A locked breech linkless barrel system adds strength and simplicity. Field maintenance is a breeze with CZ-style disassembly via slide stop. Borrowing the proven body of the CZ 75 Compact double-stack magazine, the compact has a 15+1 capacity with Henning aluminum base pads for durability.

Good sights are essential, and the DWX compact includes some of the best for personal protection and competition. A front night sight and fixed Battlehook rear sight provide quick target acquisition day or night and slide easily in and out of a holster; both are robust and reliable. The firearm’s DLC (Diamond Like Coating) protects the exterior metal surfaces of the gun from wear and corrosion.

A match-grade 4-inch barrel with a sleeveless barrel system, offering shooters unparalleled accuracy and easy takedown. At the same time, its low-profile safety on the left side offers easy access for right-handed shooters. For left-handed shooters, the same ambidextrous safety used on the full-size DWX can be installed on the Compact and will be available for sale on the CZ web store. Front and rear grooves on the slide improve cocking grip, giving the operator positive traction even with wet or sweaty hands.

Competitive shooters will appreciate the adjustability and customization of the DWX Compact. A reversible mag release offers proper ambidextrous function. Many factory and aftermarket 1911 fire control group parts are available. Front sights for Novak style dovetail and rear sights for CZ Shadow 2 style sights fit the DWX Compact. An industry standard 1913 Picatinny rail makes it easy to mount a light or laser.

The Dan Wesson DWX Compact is already shipping. It’s a modern pistol with the finer points of a 1911 classic built, like every Dan Wesson, with quality materials and parts and finished with attention to detail.
