Dania Vizzi secures a gold medal in Italy

International Skeet shooter and member of the Winchester team, Dania Vizzi, took gold at the ISSF World Cup in famed Lonato, Italy. The Lonato course is legendary for attracting the best talent in the world and serving as a challenging venue for shooters at the top of their game. Vizzi’s gold medal victory adds to her momentum heading into the 2024 spring team match, which will decide who will represent the United States at the Paris Olympics.

Vizzi earned a spot at the World Cup in Italy thanks to her silver medal in the 2023 Spring Selection competition. She shot consistently all week posting a 121/125 in qualifying, which moved her to sixth on the tiebreaker. From there, Vizzi fired 54 more targets to edge out the other 5 competitors and secure the victory for the United States.

“Dania continues to show why she is one of the best shooters in the world right now,” said Jason Gilbertson, Winchester’s director of marketing. “It’s exciting to see her compete at an extremely high level and we wish her the best of luck at the Olympic Trials in Tucson next spring.”

Dania has been a long-time member of Team Winchester and has represented The American Legend in international skeet competitions around the world, but has also served as a role model and representative within shooting sports. Vizzi’s ammunition of choice is the symbol AANL129, a unique load specifically designed to comply with ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) rules. The 9-shot 24-gram payload travels at 1,325 feet per second and carries the legendary shot consistency and reliability of Winchester AA® cartridges.

About caring for gun owners

Gun owners care. You worry about safety. You care about preventing unauthorized access to firearms. You care about improving your community, helping those in need, and conserving wildlife and wild places for generations to come. It’s time for gun owners to tell their stories and show how they’re making a difference. NSSF®, the trade association for the firearms industry, has established the Gun Owners Care campaign to unite gun owners and the firearms industry in this common cause.
