My first thought of this jersey was definitely performance and comfort. The shell is a soft active performance blend of 94% polyester and 6% spandex. This lightweight 1/4 zip fleece pullover comes in a bright orange and stone color combination. It has a soft fleece feel on the inside with a zippered chest and front handwarmer pockets. This soft jersey keeps its shape and will keep your body warm. A nicely added feature is the thumbholes on the lower sleeves; these help keep the sleeve in place and add a cozy feel. Most importantly, you remain visible during your hunting or exploring adventure. The cozy mountain fleece can serve as an outer layer during cold seasons or as a midlayer during cooler seasons. I would like to see this fleece in other color combinations for other hunting seasons or casual wear. I would buy everyone! The fit is feminine but true to size. Buttoned Upland
When I see this button-down top, I think of “The Ladies Field Fashion or Upland Chic.” This button down is made of a durable cotton spandex fabric blend. Adding to the elegance, the buttons are metal and brown in color. Also, the upper is a color combination of bright orange and stone. It has DWR to help shed water on rainy days in the field. What is DWR? Durable Water Repellent is an ultra-fine polymer that is applied to the outer layer of the fabric. DWR reduces the surface tension of the fabric; in turn, the water simply slides off. The jersey was designed with ambidextrous padded shoulder and elbow pads providing extra padding for protection and increased visibility in bright orange. The blouse has two front pockets with snap closure. It would be a stylish touch to add a scarf to this blouse and outfit. The upland button down blouse is available in sizes XXS-4XL and retails for $80.
Upland 2.0 Hunting Vest
DSG has produced a women’s mountain hunting vest that incorporates everything you need for your next backcountry hunt! The vest has many storage options, starting with four pockets in the front compartments. A unique feature is that the straps on the front pockets can be removed for easy access. Padded shoulder panels provide added protection and comfort when carrying your shotgun or any item slung over your shoulder. On the back is a blood proof game bag. Adding to the versatility, you’ll find snaps on the side that open to expand storage in the game bag. The vest meets most state requirements for a deep orange color. Hunting in the highlands often requires adaptability to changing weather conditions. The ultralight camo shirt is the perfect layer to combine. Now available in charcoal and stone, this shirt will coordinate nicely with the other highland pieces. The fabric is a moisture wicking blend of polyester and spandex. This shirt was designed to help keep you cool on those warmer hunting days! With built-in skin protection, this shirt protects your skin with UPF 50+. Mesh side panels allow airflow to keep your torso ventilated. This top was designed for performance with moisture-wicking, quick-drying material. The fabric helps keep your body cool! Kortni Upland trousers
The Kortni Mountaineering Pants are some of the most versatile pants DSG has to offer. The Kortni pants are made from a 4-way stretch nylon-spandex fabric. This makes them durable but provides comfort at the same time. Up front, you’ll find double-layer abrasion panels that continue to the lower back, making for the iconic mountain pant look we all recognise. One noticeable difference between upland pants I’ve owned before is the flexibility. With these pants, you won’t feel like you’re walking with cardboard on your legs. While hunting in the field, I prefer to avoid any additional resistance caused by my clothing; Korni pants have not disappointed yet. Although the panels make them thicker, DSG designers have implemented two-way side zippers on the thighs for ventilation. The designers also added gussets in the crotch to allow better mobility. At the back, you’ll find innovative stitched darts to help improve the fit, and knee darts for articulation offer more flexibility. The knee articulation is one of my favorite features of all the pants DSG offers. When hunting in the field, I want to move and crouch without constantly repositioning my clothing. The knee joint has been a game changer for me. Again with the useful pockets, these trousers have six pockets allowing for plenty of storage space, with two standard front pockets, two rear pockets and two more zipped thigh pockets. Something we can all appreciate is at the bottom of the pants, there are side zippers to accommodate putting on and taking off a variety of hunting boot styles. The Kortni pant comes in a wide variety of sizes: 2-16 in petite (30″ inseam), regular (32″ inseam), and tall (34″ inseam) lengths. The Kortni Mountaineering Pants retail for $160.
Lace-up hunting boot – 600 grams
DSG now has boots! When shopping for new boots, a few things come standard on the must-have list: good grip, water resistance, and a good fit. DSG’s lace-up hunting boots hit all terrains. In addition, they are elegant and versatile. The 600 gram lightweight boots are ideal for year-round outdoor activities. These boots are waterproof and have a grippy sole for excellent traction. Whether you’re hunting, hiking, or exploring, these lace-up boots will keep your feet comfortable and dry. Not to mention the added ankle protection with the higher cut. The lace-up boots are available in women’s whole sizes 6-11. The boot comes in two color options Nubuck Tan and Realtree Edge. The 600-gram lace-up boots retail for $150. They also offer 1400 grams for women looking for a warmer insulated boot. I personally have the 1400 gram boots. My toes are usually the first thing to get cold on the field. I’m always grateful to have the option of more insulated boots on those colder days – the 1400 gram retails for $180.
