Federal Ammunition adds paper wad options for select Federal Top Gun lead and steel shot cartridge loads. This new shotshell offering adds another option to Federal Top Gun’s trusted line of shotshells. This new ammunition has been shipped to dealers.
To achieve consistent shooting performance with a paper wad, Federal engineers combined a unique paper wad with a cellulose-based filler to maintain downrange patterns. Top Gun Additions with Paper Wad are built with select clean burning propellant and paper gas sealing powder wad. Clay shooters need reliable firing from their cartridges and Top Gun with Paper Wad features reliable primers from Federal that shooters trust.
“The paper wad system we’ve developed is proving to be a really strong performer from an employer standpoint,” said Dan Compton, Director of Federal Shotshell Product. “Our goal was to make the shooting experience seamless between a traditional polymer and this new paper system and our engineers believe we have achieved that. This paper wad system will also soon be used in a wide variety of other cartridge product lines.”
Top Gun cartridges with Paper Wad will be available for 12 gauge in four offerings. Two steel shot versions with a 7.5 shot size and two lead offerings in either 7.5 or 8 shot sizes. These loads are available with high quality lead or steel payloads.
