Gerald Edward McKinneyGraveside services for Mr. Gerald Edward McKinney will be on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Old Marion Cemetery on Old Homestead Road, with Brother. Mike McKee officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. McKinney, age 71, of West Point, passed away on July 25, 2022 at his residence.
Gerald attended Meridian High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army with a rank of SP4, where he was honorably discharged. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed squirrel and deer hunting, as well as cat fishing. Above all, he adored his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Deborah McKinney; children, Jacob McKinney (Brittany) and Sarah Hall (Lance), both of Steens, Miss.; grandchildren: Ambree and Waylen McKinney and Nathan and Haley Hall, of Steens, Mississippi; brothers, Billy McKinney (Caroline) of Albuquerque, NM and Jerry McKinney of Temple, Texas; sisters, Jennie Duck (Roy) from Amarillo, Texas and Peggy Thompson (John) from Tampa Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, EL and Doris McKinney; brother, James McKinney; and sister, Mary Swain.
