Hornady offers a range of press accessories designed for reliability and repeatability. A big part of an enjoyable charging experience is high-quality accessories. Press accessories include bale feeding, case preparation and bale removal tools.
A time consuming part of the reloading process is bullet feeding. The Hornady line of bullet feeders automates this process for fast, quality reloads. The Lock-N-Load® Rifle Bullet Feeder .22 Cal is a complete unit for loading .22 caliber bullets into cartridges. It is designed for the AP Lock-N-Load press for an optimized reloading process, but can be used in any press with 7/8″-14 die threads. A .30 caliber conversion kit is also available for reloading the two most popular rifle calibers. For pistol calibers, the Lock-N-Load® Pistol Bullet Feeder offers the same speed and accuracy as the rifle bullet feeder but in pistol cartridges.
The line of press accessories also includes bale removal equipment. The LNL® Impact Bullet Puller removes bullets and powder without damaging the cases or bullets. The tool is shaped like a hammer. To remove a bullet, insert the cartridge into the appropriate size collar, tighten the cap, and tap gently until the cartridge separates. Another means of extracting bullets is the Cam Lock™ bullet extractor. The extractor sits in a press like a traditional die. The correct size holding pliers on the bale for quick and easy removal.
For a complete reloading accessory package, the Hornady Lock-N-Load® Precision Reloader Kit is available. This kit includes all the accessories to align, trim and prepare cases for reloading. The concentricity tool identifies bullet runoff and adjusts it. For trimming cases, the Cam Lock™ Trimmer is a micro-adjustable trimmer capable of restoring cartridges to the correct length. The additional Case Prep Trio provides an automated solution for primer cleaning of cavities and deburring of case necks. Other accessories in the kit include the Steel Dial Gauge, Lock-N-Load® Comparison Kit, Lock-N-Load® Comparator Headspace Kit, Cam Lock™ Power Adapter, and Bend Gauge Lock-N-Load® OAL.
