LDWF Reminds the Public West Pearl River Bridge on US Hwy. 90 Remains Closed

With the teal season opening on Saturday (September 10), the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) would like to remind the public that the West Pearl River Bridge on US Highway 90 in St. Tammany Parish remains closed, restricting access to the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Middle River boat launch.

The bridge was closed indefinitely on May 24 by Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) inspectors who found significant deterioration of the deck supports. There is no timeline on when the bridge will reopen.

Consisting of 35,618 acres, the Pearl River WMA is located approximately six miles east of Slidell and approximately one mile east of Pearl River.
