CW Ramsey, 86, of Weiner, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on June 30, 2022.
He was born on February 25, 1936, in Haw Thickett, Arkansas, the son of Charley and Hattie (Moore) Ramsey.
He married Peggy Lee Spurlock on July 3, 1960 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage before she passed away on September 24, 2020.
He was an avid squirrel and raccoon hunter and also enjoyed watching Gun Smoke on television. He retired in 1997 after 42 years at Ricebelt Telephone Company in Weiner and was a devoted member of Midway Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Charley and Hattie Ramsey, his wife Peggy, three sisters: Evalee, Wilton, and Blanche, and three brothers: Willie, RC, and James Henry “Slab” Ramsey.
She is survived by her children: Tony (Suzy) Ramsey of Weiner and Dewayne (Cathy) Ramsey of Remmel, grandchildren: Tenee Ramsey of Jonesboro and Madelyn Ramsey (John) Smith of Weiner, Shannon (Jay) Mirus of Fayettville, and Joseph (Leah) Tubbs of Harrisburg, great-grandchildren: Rylan Ramsey, Radlea Ramsey, Rubiegh Ramsey, and Charlie Bea Smith, a sister, Sylvia Parker of Newport, Arkansas, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Weiner/Oak Grove Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Llanno Robinson, David Howard, and Billy Joe Hoots leading the service.
Pallbearer honorees include: Jimmy Phillips, Wayne Davis, Ben Bates, Steve Kurtz, Bill Rudd and Alan Rudd. The honorary pallbearers are Tommy Malone, Ronnie Dale, Alfred Howard, Billy Joe Hoots, Steven Kurtz, Sammy Joe Anschultz, Jeff Phillips, Farrell Jones, Tommy Jones, Dean Creasey, Doris Creasey, Tim Fisher, Becky Fisher, David Schwarz, Myra Schwarz, Merline Phillips, Carl Murphy, Joan Davis, Pat Easter, Gene Winters, Ronnie Huey, Troy Greeno, Enoch Bible, and all your fellow raccoon and squirrel hunters.
