As a precautionary measure, a specific batch of 6.5×55 SE caliber barrels, used in the SAUER 100 model, is being recalled from the market. The rifles in question, which we have identified based on their serial numbers, must not be used more and must be returned to SAUER USA for a new rifle. This batch of 6.5×55 SE barrels has shown that progressive premature weakening of the barrel material can occur after a high volume of firing, which could result in serious damage to the rifle and personal injury. The change is of course free for the customer.
