First released to the US public in pistol form: The new Scorpion 3+ carbine has been developed based on feedback from consumers, military and law enforcement personnel. This rifle completes the popular Scorpion 3+ semi-automatic firearms platform.
The 16.3-inch barrel rifle is offered in two standard configurations. This setup employs the iconic Scorpion EVO folding stock, staying true to the design users love. Three adjustment points allow the user to adjust the length of the pull to suit their needs.
Ambidextrous controls are the gold standard in today’s firearms. The Scorpion 3+ includes an ambidextrous AR-style mag release and latch/bolt release. These controls have been repositioned since the EVO 3 for intuitive, easy-to-find operation – essential in high-stress situations!
Users will notice a notch in the magazine that accommodates the new magazine release. The new Scorpion 3+ magazines are also backwards compatible with Scorpion. A redesigned grip ensures there are no issues with finger contact safety. A straightened grip improves ergonomics and control. The M-LOK hand guard makes adding your favorite accessories simple.
A redesigned magwell features a recessed front radius in the lower receiver, adding more grip on the forend with gloved hands. The lower ⅓ co-witness of the Scorpion 3+ sight with standard height red dot optics allows users to easily have an unobstructed view of the target over iron sights.
The Scorpion 3+ is available in three variations. The micro has a 4.2-inch barrel, the pistol model has a 7.8-inch barrel, and the carbine offers a 16.3-inch barrel. All three use cold hammer forged barrels for precision. The micro is an extremely compact pistol for maneuverability in tight spaces. The longer barreled pistol model has improved ballistic performance (over micro) in a slightly larger package, and the carbine is for those looking to add a stock without the need to SBR their Scorpion.
The newly redesigned Scorpion 3+ models build on the success of the proven features of the original with enhancements throughout the weapon. The MSRP for the Scorpion 3+ Micro is $1299, the Scorpion 3+ Pistol MSRP was recently reduced to $899, and the Scorpion 3+ Carbine is $999.
