The US Open combines an intense night of bowfishing in various states and surrounding waters with a full day of fun at the local Bass Pro Shops at Opry Mills. The largest competition of its kind, the ninth annual US Open Bowfishing Championships hopes to draw hundreds of teams featuring bowfishers from across the country and deliver lasting conservation benefits to area lakes and rivers by reduce harmful non-native fish species.

With the largest payout of any bowfishing tournament, the 2023 US Open pays out $30,000 to the winner as part of their $100,000 total purse. Additional activities include vendor displays and presentations of the latest bowfishing equipment, live music, fun contests, exciting giveaways, appearances by bowfishing celebrities and more.
