Vasque is bringing back its best-selling boot, infusing sustainable materials while staying true to its classic design roots.
Vasque Footwear, a family business with more than 55 years of experience in the outdoor footwear sector, brings back the Breeze. Bringing back comfort, durability, fit and versatility; learning from the millions of miles traveled, hiked, backpacked and lived. Today, Vasque introduces a modern take on the fan-favorite Breeze boot that defined a generation of outdoor exploration.
The new Breeze takes the best elements that each iteration has delivered over the last eighteen years. Rounds and rounds of testing fueled by development, producing evolution. Adjusting, testing, adjusting, testing. A team of designers, engineers, and materials scientists was led by customers who told us what they wanted from this boot.

Every aspect of the boot was scrutinized with overall sustainability in mind. It lives up to Breeze’s legacy of durability, but it’s also the most sustainable boot ever made at Vasque. From a midsole made from sugar cane, 100% recycled webbing, 75% recycled mesh material, to the debut of a new waterproofing technology, Vasque Dry, which is made from 25% recycled polyester.
The 2022 Breeze ($160) features the following updates:
- UPPER: Vasque Dry waterproof nubuck leather and recycled polyester mesh, straps and trims.
- MIDSOLE: High rebound Enduralast Bio EVA midsole with 20% recycled sugar cane.
- OUTSOLE: Patented Vasque Trail Strider outsole provides excellent multi-directional traction and a defined heel break for added control on descents.
