Winchester, the largest manufacturer of small caliber ammunition for the US military, today announced that the US military has awarded the company a contract to manufacture, test and deliver 5 million rounds of firearms. 6.8mm Next Generation Squadron Weapon (NGSW).
The NGSW cartridges will be produced at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) in Independence, Missouri, the only government owned and contractor operated small caliber ammunition production facility in the United States.
