CSF Celebrates Hawaii as the 50th and Final State to Join the National Athlete Caucus Assembly

The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is pleased to announce the launch of the Hawaii Outdoor Heritage Legislative Caucus: the 50ththe, and final, state to join the National Assembly of Athletes Caucus (NASC). Started in 2004, the NASC network has grown to include more than 2,000 legislators and, with the inclusion of Hawaii, now contains athletes’ legislative caucuses in all 50 states, further exemplifying CSF’s representation for all 55 million athletes. americans.

To celebrate the launch, CSF joined members of the Hawaii Legislative Outdoor Heritage Caucus in Honolulu on December 7.the for a launch reception that included attendees from all over the country. NASC Executive Council members Senator David Wilson (Alaska), Representative Bill Rehm (New Mexico) and Representative Kevin Wallace (Oklahoma), joined by legislators from state sports caucuses in Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky and more. Organizations from Hawaii’s hunting and fishing conservation communities also participated in the reception and look forward to working with the new Caucus to advance the management of wildlife and fisheries on the islands.

Under the leadership of Hawaii Senator Lorraine Inouye and Senator Gil Keith-Agaran, the Caucus has already begun determining policy priorities for the upcoming 2023 legislative session.
