Bill Miller will head the communications team for The Duck Hunters Organization
BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Delta Waterfowl has promoted a veteran outdoor communicator, seasoned crew manager and lifelong waterfowl hunter to the position of director of communications.
Bill Miller, continuing a nearly 40-year career in outdoor experience communication, has been a longtime contributor and Duck Dog columnist for Delta Waterfowl magazine and a staff writer for the Duck Hunters Organization since 2019. His Previous positions included executive editor at Revo Brand Group on its multimedia property “50 Campfires” and vice president of media development and production at North American Media Group, where he oversaw editorial, art and production teams for 12 magazine titles and its production department. of TV/video.
“Bill has the same passion for hunting, conservation and communication,” said Joel Brice, director of conservation for Delta. “With all of his incredible experience in the outdoors and the communications business, he told me that the one thing he felt he was missing before coming to Delta was a truly worthy cause to work for. Miller’s new role at Delta will also include working closely with the marketing and social media teams to ensure the authenticity of the Delta Waterfowl brand and the message delivered to members, supporters and all who value ducks more than their decoys and a secure future for waterfowl hunting. in North America.
“Since grade school, all I ever wanted to do was be an outdoor writer,” Miller said. “In the 50 years since then, that job description has gone through many iterations as media have changed. However, what has always remained the same is the responsibility to deliver an accurate and authentic message. Unsurprisingly, when he’s not on the keyboard and monitor, Miller is out in the great outdoors hunting whatever he can get his hands on. He also enjoys dog training, target shooting, fishing, and traveling with his wife of 38 years.
