As you begin your whimsical new life at Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll have a lot to get to grips with pretty quickly. The first is that you can use magic, in many cases, to clear things up.
That said, magic won’t get you that far, and this is where the real tools they are needed. The Royal Tools is one of the first quests given to you by Merlin, and you will have to hunt down a Peak, Watering can, ShovelY Rod.
Once you know exactly where to find them, acquiring Royal Tools is not a difficult task and will prepare you to move through the world of Dreamlight Valley. Where do I find the pickaxe in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The pickaxe is one of the first real tools you’ll find in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Royal Tool can be found in the southeast area of the Plaza, just behind the house that Scrooge McDuck is in.
Once you get the pickaxe back, the darkness that shrouds the square will disappear! You can then use the pickaxe to mine ores, rocks, and clear any obstructions in your path.
Where do I find the watering can in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
La Regadera is located just behind his house; the one you just cleared of Thorns with Merlin. You might find that it’s hidden by some broken barrels, but these are pretty easy to clean up given your other new royal tools.
Once retrieved, the Watering Can is used to water your flowers and crops.
Where do I find the Shovel in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
You can then find the shovel in the northeast area of the plaza, located next to the Ratatouille restaurant, Rez Chemy. Once collected, the shovel can be used to clear more obstructions you may come across during your adventure, and can prepare the ground for plants!
Where do I find the fishing rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Last but not least, the fishing rod can only be accessed once you have retrieved the pickaxe. Using the pickaxe, head south of the plaza you are in and make your way through Peaceful Meadow. You will then find a small pond where you can grab the fishing rod, but you will find that the rod is broken.
This starts the quest Fishing Expedition, in which you will bring the broken rod to Goofy’s house by the pond. He will then replace your broken rod with a fully functional one, and to finish the mission, you will need to go fishing with Goofy and fix his stall. Have fun!
Now that you have all four Royal Tools in your possession, head to the Castle of Dreams to speak with Merlin. This will conclude the Royal Tools quest, and then you can start your new life in Dreamlight Valley!
