Gamakatsu® enters the knife market with its new knives for everyday use

Gamakatsu®, the world’s leading manufacturer and innovator of fishing hooks and terminal tackle, introduces its new series of Everyday Carry (EDC) knives. Carrying a pocket knife is useful in multiple situations, emergencies, and general day-to-day cutting tasks for the wielder.

Gamakatsu has developed four different sized folding knives to meet EDC needs for work and play. All four knives are ready to tackle any task.

When designing these knives, Gamakatsu chose the best. Gamakatsu EDC blades offer high-end, durable D2 steel. These knives have a frame lock style handle, a locking mechanism used on one-handed knives. The Frame Lock closure system allows you to open and close the knife with one hand. These knives also feature a flipper/assisted opening mechanism for easy opening.

The significant differences between the knives are the sizes, handle materials, and blade style. The GMKT1 features a 3.25-inch drop point blade with a smooth edge, Stonewash finish, and Blackwash stainless steel handle. The easiest Gamakatsu knife to carry is the GMKT2 EDC knife which features a 2.75-inch drop point blade, with a two-tone satin finish and smooth edge. Handle material is stainless steel with an attractive Bluewash finish.

The two larger bladed EDC knives have an improved handle. The largest EDC knife, GMKT3 has a 3.625-inch Stonewash-finished blade that is partially serrated. It features a G10 front handle scale and a Stonewash steel rear handle. The GMKT4 is a 3.5-inch Tanto style, with black oxide and a smooth edge. Features a carbon fiber/G10 layer and black oxide steel handle.

There are several reasons why you could, and should, EDC a knife. Carry with peace of mind knowing that Gamakatsu has you covered!
